KEEP GROWING DETROIT - Season Extension and Hoophouse Project

Keep Growing Detroit season extension project is designed to help urban gardeners extend their growing season from the average 6 month growing season in Detroit to a 8 to 10 month growing season resulting in more vegetables and larger profits for growers participating in the GRP Farmer’s Market Workgroup. Keep Growing Detroit includes 16 hours of hands-on training meant to help participants understand the concept of season extension as well as to construct and use season extension tools like cold frames, low tunnels and high tunnels.  Anyone is welcome to participate in the classes.  For more information, please see attached application.
